THE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (VININCUNCA): “Color in the Andes”

For our Rainbow Mountain Tour (Color in the Andes), we will pick you up from your hotel at 4:30am. In our private transportation to travel for 2 hours to the town of Cusipata (3310 masl/10860 fasl) where we can enjoy a buffet breakfast to recharge energy for our adventure, then we will travel 1 hour and a half more until we arrive to the checkpoint in the community of Phulawasi and start our Hike.

Our Hike will last approximately 1 hour and a half, in this 4 kilometers Journey we will enjoy typical landscapes with native flora and fauna among which the llamas, alpacas and birds of the area stand out. Upon reaching the highest point (5036 masl/16522 fasl) our Guide will give us an explanation of the Orography, Geology, Ecosystems and Minerals that make the Rainbow Mountain so Unique, we will also have the option to explore the different tourist viewpoints for about 1 hour to admire the beautiful landscape of this 7 Colors Mountain and the imposing Ausangate Glacier.

The temperature is cold, the wind is brave, but the feeling is Heartwarming, we conquered the Rainbow Mountain!!!

Then we will return by the same way to the point where we started our Hike, our Transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata, where we will enjoy our delicious Buffet Lunch, ending our Lunch we will start our return trip to Cusco city arriving between 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
