The Humantay Lake (4200 masl/13778 fasl) is one of the new Adventure destinations of Cusco. A natural wonder located in the district of Soraypampa, walk to one of the most beautiful lakes in Peru and let yourself be enveloped by the impressive Salkantay and Humantay Peaks while contemplating the incredible turquoise water of this Lake, the color of its water is due to the different algae and minerals located at the bottom that combine perfectly with the reflection of the blue Sky and the Humantay Glacier. A few years ago, it was only visited by those adventurists who hiked the Salkantay and Humantay Glaciers, but now it has become one of the most favorites destinations of Hikers and Nature Lovers that want to see this Turquoise Jewel between the Glaciers.
Departure and Return: lobby of your hotel

We will pick you up from your hotel at 4.30 am to start our 3 hours Bus ride northwest of Cusco city towards the town of Mollepata, passing through beautiful landscapes such as the Andean plateau, tropical valleys, local villages and imposing mountains. In Mollepata we can have breakfast, once breakfast is over, we will continue our journey until we reach the town of Soraypampa (3900masl/12800 fasl).
From this point we will start our hike for two hours until we reach the Humantay Lake, where we will enjoy the landscape and we can take unforgettable photos, in addition we will be fascinated by the perfect harmony between the Lake and the Humantay Glacier, literally you feel like you found a Turquoise Jewel between the Glaciers.
Then we will return to Mollepata where we will have our delicious lunch. Finishing lunch, we will return to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 5:30pm
